Charles P. Ruth:  8 April 1937 ­ 16 December 2005
 
Charles P. Ruth died unexpectedly 16 December 2005 in Santa Fe, NM.  He was born in Denver, CO to Nelson Y. and Anne Y. Ruth.  Charles attended Tulsa Central High School and Cornell University, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.  He received a BA Degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1960 and a MBA from the University of Oklahoma in 1965.  From 1961 to 1963, Charles served his country as a Lieutenant with the 280th US Army Security Agency Company and then after the name of the 280th was changed, he served with the 78th US Army Security Agency Special Operations Unit in Berlin, Germany.  He was active in the oil and gas industry for many years in Houston, Tulsa and Oklahoma City.  He retired from H. Huffman & Co. in 2003.  Charles was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jon.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janita;  sons John and wife, Ellie of Colorado Springs, CO and David of San Francisco, CA;  daughter, Anne and husband, Justin
 Bransford of Santa Fe, NM; granddaughters, Ava and Grace; mother-in-law Vernie Guffey; and niece, Anne Kiehl.  A memorial service was held 29 December at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Edmond, OK.  At the time of his death Charles was living in Edmond, OK.
