Paul Mattlock Higgins

“CW2 Paul Mattlock Higgins, of Manassas and Dumfires, died on May 3, 2007, at Potomac Hospital.  He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy, and his son, Charles T. Higgins; he is survived by his sons, Kenneth Higgins and James Higgins; his daughter-in-law , Linda Higgins; and six grandchildred.  Paul was in the Army for 22 years.  He served in WWII , the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict, earning two bronze stars and a Purple Heart.  After his retirement, he worked for 21 years for the Department of Defense doing classified work.  (During his ASA years, Paul served as a maintenance officer in Europe and Vint Hill Farms.)  A graveside service for Paul and his wife will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2007 with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to Mountcastle.net.”
